This Merriam’s turkey hunt takes place on 100,000+ acres of private land encompassing multiple ranches in east-central Montana. The landscape consists of beautiful pine ridges, creek bottoms, and hay meadows, which create the perfect habitat mixture for these birds to thrive.
The sheer size of the property allows hunters to stay mobile and consistently work fresh birds, using primarily run-and-gun tactics with decoys and calling, while blind hunting remains an option. Careful management and a limited harvest of mature toms ensure strong bird numbers and exceptional hunting opportunities throughout the season.
Stay in a comfortable 12-bedroom and 10-bath facility that offers all the comforts of home. Turkey hunters will be provided with double-occupancy rooms; single occupancy is available for a fee. Wonderful meals will be prepared fresh each day by the lodge’s resident cook. If Merriam’s is on your list to complete the slam, this is the hunt for you!
