New Zealand is one of the premier hunting destinations for those seeking the ultimate in not only hunting, but non hunting activities as well.  It’s a great destination to bring your spouse and even the entire family.  This location is right in the heart of some of the best hunting in all of New Zealand, with premier red stag properties as well as tahr and chamois hunting right out the back door!  Stag hunts take place from February through July with the roar taking place from about mid March through April.  However, the hunting for these majestic animals is excellent all season long!  The terrain varies from rolling brush covered hills to mountainous valleys.  The Himalayan tahr is one of New Zealand’s most desired animals.  It is also one of the most difficult trophies to obtain as they live in the most remote parts of the southern Alps.  Due to the steep terrain and unpredictable weather, helicopters are used to access these remote valleys.  Chamois were introduced to New Zealand in the early 1900’s and have thrived in this terrain and climate.  They are a very agile and elusive animal and will test the ability of every trophy hunter. New Zealand also offers exceptional waterfowl hunting from late May through July.  All hunting is over decoys on private lakes, ponds, and grain fields.  The newer lodging provides superb accommodations with spacious and comfortable bedrooms and private baths.  New Zealand offers so much more than just great hunting.  Incredible scenery, sightseeing, shopping are all available nearby.  This outfitter – owned hunting area and the properties they lease are located in the heart of some of the finest hunting on the South Island over 25 years of experience .  The staff and guide team are second to none and promise to provide an incredible experience.
