With Kansas turning lots of cold shoulders in the draw in 2019 this may be the perfect year to cash in your Iowa points. We have several outfitters that have a handful of Archery, Muzzleloader, and Shotgun spots available. Archery is taking 3 points to draw and the gun hunts are taking 1 in most cases. This was never more evident than when I set in the stand last Nov. I had days where I saw as many as 3 GIANT shooters in a day and rattled in as many as 15 different bucks. See attached trail cam pic of a deer I had at 80 yds. I let several mid 140-150 class type deer walk in hopes of getting a crack at one of the giants. As bowhunting goes I never drew my bow back but I knew the caliber of deer I was hunting, which for me was every bit as exciting.
