Or Call: 1-800-346-8747
Northwest Colorado is home to some of the highest numbers of elk in the West. The abundance of elk here and the relatively mild terrain allows this outfitter to cater to just about anyone's ability. In fact, the best way to hunt this property is from strategically located ground blinds as you and your guide try and intercept the elk as they work their way from the feeding grounds in the morning back up to their bedding areas and vice versa in the late afternoons. This outfitter caters to small groups of hunters at a time to ensure that everyone has a good chance at harvesting a bull. You'll access the property from 4x4 vehicles and side by sides and then hike a short distance to your hunting location. Archery hunts kick off in early September. This is one of the best times to intercept a bull before he gathers his harem of cows. These hunts continue through late September as the bugling activity intensifies. The archery hunts consist of spot and stalk as well as hunting from the blinds. The property is then rested for a few weeks before the first rifle season begins. While the rut is starting to wind down you can still ancticipate some bugling activity on this hunt. The later rifle hunts are still a very good time to harvest a bull as more elk tend to show up on the property and bulls are typically found in bachelor groups at this time. A comfortable lodge and good home cooked meals are all past of this great elk hunt.
