Trip Details

Few areas in the country can compare to the trophy bull elk production found in Nevada’s coveted hunt area, 111–115. Hunters can realistically expect to target bulls in the 350–380+ range, with multiple bulls over 400 taken in the unit annually. With a track record like that, this is arguably one of the best trophy elk hunts in the country.

This area varies from approximately 5,000–12,000 feet in elevation. At lower elevations you will find prairie and sagebrush giving way to pine, juniper, and big conifers at higher elevations with the mountain peaks above tree line. This can be a physically demanding hunt at higher elevations, with a fair amount of hiking.

The winner can choose which method of take they prefer. Hunting tactics vary based on the season and weapon choice. Archery hunts take place between late August and mid-September. The last 10 days of the hunt offers a great opportunity to experience bugling bulls that are receptive to calling. Muzzleloader season takes place in late October and early November with rifle hunts following in November and December. These hunts are conducted using spot-and-stalk hunting methods.

Lodging for this hunt will vary from a comfortable modular home to camp trailers, depending on which portion of the unit you are hunting. Meals will be prepared in camp or at a local restaurant.

Hunt Dates:
Archery: August 25 – September 16, 2024 (any 9 days)
Muzzleloader: October 22 – November 5, 2024 (any 9 days)
Rifle: November 6 – December 4, 2024 (any 9 days)

Includes: 9 days of fully-guided hunting with a 2 guide to 1 client ratio, 5 days of pre-scouting (1 scout per client), meals, lodging, in-field transportation, in-field trophy care, assistance to transport trophy to taxidermist.

Excludes: Transportation to/from Ely, Nevada, costs associated with redeeming voucher for a license/tag (approximately $1000), alcoholic beverages, and gratuities.

Redeeming Landowner Voucher: Outfitter will assist the winner in redeeming the Landowner voucher for the appropriate license/tag prior to the hunt.
