The ABC Islands – Admiralty, Baranof, And Chichagof – of southeast Alaska are renowned for their dense population of brown bears, including many color phase bears. This hunt takes place on Baranof Island with a seasoned outfitter who has been guiding in the area for more than two decades. Over the years, hunters have experienced high shot opportunities on mature boars, some of which have stretched the tape to over 9 feet.
The 10-day hunt will be conducted from either a 35-foot or 75-foot yacht equipped as the ultimate spike camp. Each boat can accommodate two hunters and two guides along with all of the amenities of home. Skiffs are towed to allow you and your personal guide to access the shoreline and glass for bears. Fall brown bear hunts are very exciting and typically take place along one of the many salmon streams in the area.
