Patience, skill and high-quality optics on a tripod or truck window mount is often the name of the game and a good guide may sit for hours picking apart the countryside trying to catch a glimpse of an antler or bedded buck. Stalks can take hours in the hot sun or freezing rain but when it all comes together, you’ll agree it’s all worth it.

There’s nothing like putting your tag on a nice mule deer buck. Booking a trophy mule deer hunt is extremely tricky. While elk are thriving across the West, the same does not hold true for mule deer. The general rule of thumb is: Big mule deer, big money.
