New Hampshire Hunting Deadlines

Helping You Draw the Tag of a Lifetime

It's Easy to Get Started:

New Hampshire Hunting Information

The Canadian moose population in New Hampshire has seen better days. Everything from habitat loss to winter ticks to brain worm has negatively affected the population. However, the state is very conservative with its permit allocation, and harvest success for those lucky enough to draw a tag remains high at over 60% annually. In the units, WTA TAGS applies its clients, annual harvest success rates often see 100%. While Maine is still our first choice for those trying to draw a moose tag on the East Coast, applying in New Hampshire will add some depth to your TAGS portfolio for this species.

To get started, call our office today at 1-800-755-8247 and take the first step toward a brighter hunting future. And remember, WTA TAGS applies your children FREE OF CHARGE and offers 50% off for female applicants.

New Hampshire Application Information

  • Species: WTA TAGS offers application assistance for the following species in New Hampshire: Canadian moose.
  • Point System: New Hampshire has a bonus point system in place. You will receive one extra bonus point for each year you are unsuccessful in drawing a tag. A bonus point is like an additional raffle ticket in the hat. Therefore, drawing a tag at random is possible – the more bonus points you accrue, the better your chance of drawing.
  • Party Applications: Applications must be individual; however, upon drawing a tag, you may select a person to be your subpermittee. A subpermittee is a person who can also harvest the moose. Only one moose can be harvested, so the permittee and the subpermittee must be in close proximity to one another.
  • Hunter’s Safety Card Requirement: Hunter education is required for anyone age 16 or older at the time of application.
  • Youth: Applicants must be 16 years of age by the application deadline and in possession of a Hunter’s Safety Card to apply.
