Pennsylvania Point System
- Species: WTA TAGS offers application assistance for the following species in Pennsylvania: elk.
- Point System: Pennsylvania has a bonus point system in place. You will receive one extra bonus point for each year you are unsuccessful in drawing a tag. A bonus point is like an additional raffle ticket in the hat. Therefore, drawing a tag at random is possible – the more bonus points you accrue, the better your chance of drawing. Points are exclusive to each season applied for – archery, and/or rifle, and/or antlerless.
- Party Applications: Pennsylvania does not allow party applications for its elk tags. Applications must be individual.
- Hunter’s Safety Card Requirement: You must have a Hunter’s Safety Card to hunt in Pennsylvania.
- Youth: Applicants who are at least 12 years old may apply for elk tags in Pennsylvania.
