Guided New Mexico Archery Elk Hunt

This trophy New Mexico elk hunt takes place on 10,500 private acres of excellent habitat. The property is home to a healthy population of elk with some great genetics. Expect to encounter elk every day and most trophies harvested will be 6×6 bulls scoring 290″-320″ with a couple of top end bulls pushing the 350″ mark! This is not a physically demanding hunt as you and your guide will access the property on Polaris rangers or 4×4 vehicles and then on foot. A limited number of bow hunters are allowed on this property each season. This ensures the animals are not pressured and the property is not over hunted. The September archery hunt takes place as bulls begin to bugle and gather their harem of cows. This is one of the most exciting hunts in the west and definitely the most exciting way to hunt elk. The bow hunts are a combination of stand or ground blind hunting over water holes to spot and stalk hunting with some calling. The habitat and terrain consists of ponderosa pine, pinion, oak brush, open meadows with timbered slopes, and deep canyons. The elevation ranges from 6,000′ – 9,000′. There are also multiple springs on the ranch. The guides are extremely experienced in elk hunting and most of them are local resident guides who have been hunting the area for several years with great success. Accommodations are provided in a comfortable ranch house located right on the property. It consists of four bedrooms, two full baths, kitchen, dining area, and living room with fire place. All bedding, linens, towels, etc. are provided. Breakfast and dinner will be provided each day at the lodge. A sack lunch and drinks will packed for your day in the field. The hunt includes a guaranteed private land landowner tag so no state drawing is required.
