Mongolia mountain hunting is one of the best adventures in the world, and the ibex hunts are some of the most affordable mountain hunts on earth. You can hunt for Altai and/or Gobi ibex, Maral stags (Asian elk) or three of the Argali sheep – Altai, Gobi and Hangay. These are some of the most desired species on earth.
Hunters need to be in good physical condition for these hunts, but they are not “killer” mountain hunts as in other locations. Hunter success is virtually 100% every year.
You will stay in comfortable yurts with beds and stoves, be served good food, and overall well taken care of. These trips are a step up as far is food and accommodations go when considering most Asian hunts.
The hunting for Maral is done in the rolling hills region surrounding the capital. The shot distances will range from 100-250 meters. There is also a possibility for the hunt for White Gazelle as an add on. Second Maral Stags can also be harvested for an additional fee.
The hunt has two guides. Hunts with 2 hunters will be 1×1, 4 hunters will be 2×1. Success Rates are 100% so this will not hurt success rates. But we recommend to book in pairs if you don’t want to share a guide.
