This is an opportunity to hunt Rocky Mountain bull elk and Rocky Mountain mule deer in Montana. Just north of Yellowstone Park lies some of the most formidable, yet scenic, wilderness found in North America. For those with an adventurous spirit, this is a great place to hunt elk and deer. For the best access into this wilderness, horses are essential. This hunt requires the utmost physical and mental fortitude. For those up to the challenge, this combination hunt comes at an incredible value and, being this close to the park boundary, keeps the guides and clients wondering what’s just around the next corner.
Clients must enter Montana’s limited-entry draw to try to obtain a tag—WTA TAGS will handle all of this for you. The deadline to apply is in early April. Once booked with this outfitter, drawing odds are nearly 100% the first time applying.
If flying, you will need to arrange tickets to Bozeman, where you will overnight. The next morning you will be met by the outfitter for the drive to Big Sky. After going through your gear, you will get on a horse and pack in about four miles to a very comfortable wall tent camp. Your six-day hunt will then begin.
This is an extremely challenging hunt in some of the most stunning country on earth. This great adventure into the wilds of Montana is a trip you will never forget. Whether you choose to hunt the September archery season, the late-October through November rifle season, or the December muzzleloader season, this outfitter and his team of experienced guides will work their hearts out for you. Hunters will need to fly into Bozeman, MT where they will overnight. The next morning, the outfitter will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to camp.
