These elk hunts take place on a world-class private ranch in north-central Wyoming in the heart of the Bighorns. With more than 30 years of Wyoming outfitting experience, this outfitter’s long-term success rate is near 100%. Most bulls taken on this hunt are 6x6s, scoring between 300 and 320 with top-end bulls going to 350+.
These elk hunts are being offered at a fair price point, especially considering the high success rates and outstanding trophy quality. If this hunt were in the states of Utah, Colorado, or New Mexico—where tags are guaranteed—these hunts would be priced over $18,000. However, because these hunts take place in Wyoming and the elk tags are allocated via drawing, the hunts are priced starting at only $9,495. Just an incredible value for those who draw! Typically, preference points required to draw this tag are; eight on the Special and ten on the Regular.
Each two hunters share a 12′ x 15′ wall tent, complete with flooring, a wood-burning stove, military-grade cots, thick foam mattresses with sheets and pillows, lanterns, and storage shelves. Meals are expertly prepared by the camp chef and are served in the large, heated dining tent. Generators are used for lights in the cook tent and are available for recharging batteries and other needs. Hot showers and well-maintained outhouses round out these comfortable camp accommodations.
A good network of two-track roads and 4×4 trucks provide good access to the ranch, with a fair amount of hiking being the norm. Horses and ATVs are utilized for game retrieval, with your guide taking care of field dressing and packing out, as well as caping the trophy.
