- Species: WTA TAGS offers application assistance for the following species in Alaska: Bison, black bear, brown bear, Barren Ground Caribou, Dall Sheep, Emperor Goose, Moose, Mountain Goat, Muskox, and Roosevelt Elk.
- Point System: There is no point system in place in the state of Alaska.
- Party Applications: Up to two applicants may apply together for any species in Alaska.
- Hunter’s Safety Card Requirement: Hunters born after Jan 1, 1986 must have hunter education certification. Bowhunters born after Jan 1, 1986 must also complete a bowhunter education course for archery-only hunts.
- Youth: Minimum age: 10 years old by the season start date to apply/obtain a permit.
